Wow!!! Yay! Hi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much for reading along, complimenting me and finally saying hi!!!

It always, always blows me away when new people comment and tell me they're following along and I didn't even know!! I wonder how many other are lurking around, lol! :lmao:

Wow, things are really coming together for you! :cool1: :cheer2: pixiedust:

All of the "secret tricks" certainly paid off. The only one I knew about was the T-Rex thing (though we've never been there). That one about calling another department is news to me, though - and potentially very useful for future trips.

Anyway, plans are looking great! :thumbsup2

Stop everything guys! I am having a CRISIS!!!

So...when I found out we would be going during F&W one of my first thoughts was about what kind of bands would be playing. The hubs and I love music and going to concerts, we often take trips to Austin (Texas only real music scene) and go to shows and stuff, so this was a natural thing to wonder.

Well, one thing you should know about me is I LOVE Hanson!! I was, no joke, beyond-obssesed-posters-covering-every-inch-of-my-bedroom-head-over-heels for this band back in the day. They were MY band and I still hold a soft spot for them in my heart. :lovestruc

If you don't know who they are, then shame on you, but I will give you a clue. They are a boy band composed of three brothers who did used to look eerily like girls with their long hair, lol, and you would probably know them from their hit, MMMBop!

Hanson-MMMBop.jpg

It is a fact that Hanson has played F&W several times before, so naturally I assumed they might be back... well a while back some of the bands were released and I saw two playing while we were there, and they weren't anyone I cared for. Secretly, I was happy, bc I really don't want to waste precious Disney time watching concerts, and if it was someone I liked, I would HAVE to go.

*Sigh* I think you know where this is going... today I saw posted the full list of concerts and guess who is freakin' on it....DURING MY STAY!!!!!!!!!

I'll tell ya who, my beloved HANSON!

Well, naturally, it would be that they are going to be there two days we are not scheduled to go to Epcot. One day I for sure can not change, its our dessert party day and I have like 3 ADR's that day... the other day is the least recommended park for the day, and will cause me to have to switch SO MANY things around.

I FINALLY got my schedule to a way I like it, and this is really bumming me out.

But alas, there is just no way I am changing everything around to accommodate this. Still, I hate knowing they will be there same time as me!! It is seriously torture. I wish I never found out.

On to better and more happier topics! ::yes::

I spent about 2 hours reading through a awesome TR last night, and I was inspired by it to look into the Harmony Barber Shop! It wasn't really on my radar before, but I got to thinking about the fact that Olivia has never had a haircut before, and obviously it would be AWESOME to have her first one in Disney!!

So I talked to the hubs about it and he was so beyond on board! He didn't know about the HBS and he was so excited about having Liv get her first cut there, and then he said he wanted to do BOTH girls!

My initial reaction was like "whhhhhaaaaaaaaa" :faint:

Guys, you have seen the photos, the girl is seriously lacking in the hair department, lol... but Chris is so worried that what if for some reason we can't get back to Disney for her first cut and he wants it to be something we will remember for both girls... well squeeze my heart, why dontcha!?!?!?

So we agreed both girls will do it. I called and booked it for our first MK day this morning. It was surprisingly cheaper than I thought too! $19 each and they get the cut, a lock of hair in a special bag with pixie dust, a special certificate and a set of Mickey ears that are embroidered with "first haircut" on the back. The ears alone would cost that much! So I am soooo stoked! :hyper:

I told Olivia about it this morning and her first reaction was so adorable! She said "I don't want my hair cut, I want it long like Rapunzels!" Her eyes got huge, lol... I quickly explained that she would just be getting a tiny trim, and it would actually make her hair healthier, and then she looked down at the tips of her hair and said "yeah, my hair is getting kinda icky on the ends." Gah, I love her!!

Obviously Maddie's will be a super tiny cut as well, and its more for the experience and the memory of knowing where and when the event was.

Also, yesterday I did a little shopping and picked up some fun outfits for the girls, for our trip...

Love 'em! And only $5.88 a piece. I think these JUST came in, bc I had been in WalMart a couple days prior and these were not there...

Also I picked my self up a Star Wars shirt for the Studios...

Always fun to buy yourself awesome tees! ;)

Other than that, no real news. I am going to go to bed and try not to think about the fact that I will be so close to Hanson, yet so far away.... but, I did see that Sugar Ray will be there too when we are at Epcot, I did enjoy him back in the day, nowhere near Hanson-level, but I'll probably stop in for a walking break and enjoy the show. :cool1:

It sounds like Hanson was to you what New kid on the block were to me. And that would be SO hard not to go see them if I knew they were at Epcot while we were close by even though that was 25 years ago. :)

You will love the barber shop. It was such a fun experience! And so reasonably priced. We didn't get the Mickey ears until a few weeks after we returned home but that was kind of fun to have good mail from disney.

Those new outfits and your t shirt are really cute!

Disney planning is never boring, huh? :rotfl:

For your Hanson crisis, the best option I can see (other than skipping them, of course) is to switch your plans on the 28th and 30th. I know you said Epcot is the least recommended park on the 28th, but I would imagine that's because it's a Sunday during Food and Wine - and F&W on weekends is always bad. However, depending on what you wanted to do, Future World probably would be manageable. You probably just wouldn't want to wait in lines at F&W booths.

By the way, I looked up the Eat to the Beat concert schedule and now I really wish I was going during Food & Wine. We love it anyway, but there are a bunch of those that I'd enjoy seeing in concert. On our last F&W trip, Rick Springfield was there (as he is this year) and we went, only knowing his one song "Jesse's Girl", so not expecting much. He turned out to be a blast in concert - working his way through the crowd and very interactive and fun.

Yes, do the haircuts!! Wow, I can't believe Olivia hasn't had one yet. Perfect! I haven't gotten to it in the TR yet, but we took Izzy and, as you can see in the pictures, she has practically no hair. It was all about the experience and it is a great value. We got the ears right away also - they pose you for a picture where the kid is wearing the ears and looking at themselves in the handheld mirror while you snap a picture over their shoulder of the reflection. Very cute. I believe they will also add "pixie dust" pixiedust: to their hair, if either girl wants it.

Nice outfits and shirt!

Haha, I did enjoy some NKOTB too! But Hanson was my all time fave!

So excited about the barber shop now!! Yay!!

You are SO smart! I'm going to look at our schedule today and see what's goin on, I might could make it work!

Good to know about the barber shop!! I can't wait to read it!!!!!!!

I feel your pain. Last year they announced Cake Boss was going to be at Epcot on the firmly planned Take it easy day. (That take it easy day nearly didn't happen after that news.)

The girls outfits are looking great.

we are doing the barbershop too!!! we're doing it on our princess day. I know that they don't do the hair color anymore but we figure we can do some ourselves..... sooooooo, did you specifically book a "first haircut" appt. I only said haircuts but it will be Evie's first. wonder if I need to call and tell them ahead of time :confused3

btw, I was just looking at those same outfits but passed because the girls have WAY TOO MANY CLOTHES ALREADY!!!! :lmao: time for momma to get some

Thanks. We didn't go until our last day, so it will probably be a while before I get to that update. If you haven't seen it, though, Leshaface has a great update in her current TR about her son's first haircut. Super cute.

I may or may not have switched my schedule all around to accommodate Hanson... Lol ...

And I honestly completely forgot about all the food demos and celeb chefs!! Ahhh! Too much goodness, I can hardly stand it!

They asked me on the phone if it was a first haircut appt and I said yes. I don't know if they need to know that in advanced or not.

Lol, that's funny on the outfits!!
