Walk-ing Back to Disney! COMPLETED 10/16! A Fall 2014 PTR!

Wow your magic bands came out incredible!! Such a nice job!

Hearing about the low wait times has me itching for my trip!! Fingers crossed you get those low wait times, I'm sure you will!

So awesome that you are reaching your money goal. Lots of Disney money ready to be spent!

Tough choice on whether to book the bounce back or not. Seeing Disney at Christmastime HAS to be magical (even though we are going in November, I'm still hoping to get that Christmas feel!). But at the same time, cheap is good and I feel like September is a great time to go- crowd wise, weather wise, and you get MNSSHP!! Like others said, you can just book it and if you feel you can swing the more expensive trip you can always cancel!

As I said on FB, love the Magic Bands!! You amaze me, you really do!

You are taking $2,000 spending money???? Wow! We take about $300. And usually don't even spend that much. But…if we had kids I know it would be more. When we take our Grandkids on their 5th birthday, we buy them basically whatever they want, so that gets a bit pricey. Enjoy spending that much money guilt-free!!!

What a great and supportive hubby to work so many extra hours to fund Disney spending. I just know you guys will have a fantastic time. Your planning is so detailed and perfect, it can't miss. Can't wait to see photos of the girls dressed in their Disney-wear, especially your MNSSHP costumes!

Glad to see you got your invite for BOG. I just love eating there.

Have a great weekend!

ETA: I meant to say I think you should go ahead and book the bouncback offer. Then, if you decide you want to go during the Christmas decorations, (which I highly recommend!!) you can just change your dates. Chances are they will extend free dining like they do every year and you can have it all! That way, you're covered either way. I'm always in favor of another trip on the books!!

Yes! Last year I think we spent about $900ish and we figured we wanted to double it bc were going twice as long. But keep in mind that is $ for E V E R Y T H I N G! So checked bags, food while traveling, the BBB (almost $200 right there), the Barber Shop, tips, hopefully bounce back offer and souvenirs! We did overshoot FOR SURE. But like you said, I wanted it to be guilt free. I doubt we will spend that much but if I have it I'll be more likely to indulge in a want without the guilt! :-) My favorite hobby, hands down, is shopping, lol, and I didn't shop much last trip bc I was in sticker shock! This time I want to buy something nice that I really want! Also a big chunk if that was gift money! So not my own! That's the best kind to spend! ;)

I'm glad you liked the MBs! I had fun painting them! I felt like id just been waiting for them to arrive and now that they did and I am done customizing I'm back to waiting...lol. Man the waiting! It is going by fast, for sure, but still feels like I'm just spending my days thinking about it! Lol!!

And yes planning on doing the BB offer!! Yay! That should ease the blow if having to go home!!

Thank you! Now that they are here and done I am back to waiting though! Lol ....

Yes feels good to meet my $ goal. I doubt we will spend it all but it makes spending more than I normally would easier.

I am pretty certain we will go ahead and book the BB. It will help the going home blues knowing we will be back. And then if FD comes out for Christmastime maybe well switcheroo!

The bands look great! Yours is my favorite I think, but love them all :thumbsup2 So amazing that you have almost made it to the spending money goal - that will feel fantastic! So close!

Thank you! I am feeling so good now, I feel like all the boxes are checked and I am READY!

Hehehe... Yah - I love Alex n' Ani... I purchased 4 while I was down there... The "D" - which also has a little dangly Mickey head :lovestruc I couldn't pass that one up at all... Then I got Donald... Those were my first two. I purchased the 2014 Sorcerer Mickey - which was a gift from a friend of mine. And on our last day, I bought the Filigre Mickey Head... Here's a better pic: Yah - I didn't think the scratch was too bad... It's not even really a scratch, it's more of a rub where I scraped it on something that that color transferred to my MB. I was happy with how it held up. Yah - it really bothers DH a lot that I don't carry my own bags at home... I am not sure why I don't? I just never have. Probably because they are for "fun" and they are too fun for my boring life at home. :rotfl2: So, I purchased a VB one for myself - and I love carrying it at home... I only wish they made it in the old Saddle Up style that's retired - otherwise, I like it a lot, and I like that I can carry my "hidden Mickeys" around with me every day... So far, not one person has noticed it. :confused3 Makes me feel like I am being sneaky. ::yes:: Yes - buy stuff for yourself... I knew I was buying Alex n' Ani before I left, I also know I was buying a VB bag for myself... So, I was saving specifically for those things... I had no idea I was going to buy the other stuff - so I am glad I had some extra $$ with me. D~

I love the bling! They're beautiful! I want to indulge in something I really want like that too, but I'm not sure what just yet. The shopping for it is where the fun lies for me! Lol! I saw so many incredible things last time it's gonna be hard to pick!

hahahaha, you're bored....I'm stressed!!!!! and all i've done today is sit around and stalk Mo!!!!!!! :rotfl2:

I MUST GET OFF THIS COMPUTER!!!!!!!! (as soon as she posts the reveal!!! lol)

Love how the Magic Bands turned out! What did you end up using on them? Acrylic or Nail Polish? How about sealer?

Your getting close now! How exciting! :wizard:

Acrylic paints with a spray on acrylic sealer, but only 2 coats of VERY FINE mist of the sealer. Learned that the hard way, I had to halfway redo all of then because I used too much initially!

You got me all excited to spend money at Disney, now I'm rethinking the amount I'm taking!haha! But the amount I mentioned doesn't include tips or anything like that. We have designated gift cards for that sort of thing. I can't wait to see what fun things you buy!

I leave in two days, so no time to be bored for me. In fact I haven't packed yet. I'll be dedicating today and tomorrow to last minute details. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead, and don't wish your life away…enjoy each day as the gift it is! And give those two little cuties a big hug for me!

Hola my friends!

Not too much new going on here, besides the waiting, but I do have a couple trip-related things to share.

First off we are getting SO CLOSE! Today marks 17 DAYS UNTIL WE LEAVE!

As proof of how little time is left, here is our countdown chain, it's getting SO short!

In honor of reaching the teens, the packing has commenced! I started with some of the kids accessories and clothes. I didn't get much done at all, because it gets very overwhelming, but I did do some! I can't figure out if I want to pack the girls bows and necklaces and such with their outfits in a ziplock, or have all the accessories in a separate ziplock of their own, as many will be worn on more than one day...hmmm. I guess it's my slightly OCD tendencies coming out!

In other news, I received my BOG FP+ email this week!

I was able to get the time and day booked that I wanted, so I am a happy girl! Annnnnd that marked THE LAST thing I was waiting for to add to my official schedule and daily cards, so I was able to update them, and now I just need to print and laminate! There are {hopefully} officially no more changes to be made! That's it, everything is ready! Well, never say never... lol :rotfl2:

Also, I found some additional small things for our window at the resort, so that's all finished up now! It's hard to see in the pic, but these have little suction cups on them to hang on your window! I originally was looking for regular window clings, but these will do! And only like $1 something each.

I also found some Halloween themed color packs for the plane to keep the kiddos busy! We love these little packets and use them a lot for entertaining the girls, so it was fun to find the themed ones for Halloween!

Other than that, I have just been doing a lot of FB stalking of friends who are currently at Disney, and then slowly but surely scratching everything off my list!

Left to Do:
- Print and laminate daily cards
- Book hotel in Austin
- Pack
- Get tip $ ready

Left to Buy:
- SD Cards
- Olivia's PJ's (Her Mickey Gift for arrival)
- Gift bags for the Mickey gift!
- Pop Up Hampers
- Body Glide (WHERE O WHERE DO I FIND THIS????!!!!?!?!?)
- Fabric Markers

Not much left AT ALL!! In fact, I am pretty sure that this will ALL get finished by the end of the week, payday is Thursday (our LAST payday before Disney!!!!!!) and I will book the hotel and buy these last few things and then I can really get down & dirty with the packing!! :cool1:

Everything is coming together so nicely! I can hardly believe that it's almost time to go enjoy the fruits of our labor!! 17 days still feels like an eternity though!! ::yes::

Haha, sorry to make you rethink things!!! Lol!! But honestly, you know what you will probably spend, and like I said, I way overshoot to give myself a cushion that I feel comfortable spending!! ::yes::

Yay for packing! I can't believe it's so close!!!

Love the girls jewelry and bows!

Where did you find the window suctions? They are super cute. :)

Almost time!!

Almost time!!

I found them in the Halloween section at WalMart, right where all the other Halloween window clings were! They are pretty cute! And re-usable too! They had a princess one also, but it didn't really match my other window stuff. :cutie:

Wow! It's getting so close!
The window suction cup things are really cute! They will look adorable in the window.
I saw those play packs at Walmart yesterday too. Sooo cute.
I totally get your dilemma with the OCD part of packing. :goodvibes I would probably pack the accessories with the first ziplock they will wear them with and then at the end of that day move them to the next bag, etc...
That to do list is getting small!! WOO HOO!

That's what I was thinking too! Nice to have my thoughts confirmed! ;)

The countdown chain has gotten SO short! :yay::yay::yay:
