Walk-ing Back to Disney! COMPLETED 10/16! A Fall 2014 PTR!

Yay snack list!! And with pictures! Nomnomnom!!

Reading yours and the comments I have had to add to mine. Not sure when we will get on any rides cause it seems like we will be spending most of our time eating!!

Love the snack passport idea! That would be awesome!

Bahaha! This is true!! I'll share the snack passport on here when I complete it!

Mmm, you made me totally hungry! I wanted to try school bread so bad last time and was full all 3 times we found ourselves in world showcase! oh well, someday I'll try it!
Looks like a good plan I can't wait to read your reviews of the snacks.

I actually ended up picking that up for Chris when he was sick in the room, so we took it back with us that night and he ate it the next morning! He loved it! Bet its even better fresh!

Long time reader, first time poster. I had been looking through trip reports for ~1 year old and came across yours and Dugette's and read both in 3 nights! Loving the pre-trip report plans so far - your girls are super cute and so photogenic.

But alas, there is just no way I am changing everything around to accommodate this. Still, I hate knowing they will be there same time as me!! It is seriously torture. I wish I never found out.

I realized you changed your plans to accommodate, but something to keep your eyes peeled for is them touring the other parks while you are there. I worked RNRC for the CP and many of the bands came through with guest relation tour guides. Maybe Olivia could even get their autograph in her cool Frozen autograph book - that would be an awesome Disney story :)

Obviously Maddie's will be a super tiny cut as well, and its more for the experience and the memory of knowing where and when the event was.

They can just do the lock of hair thing and clean up rest to line up. My nephews have all done this and that is basically all they did. I will warn you that they do the glitter similar to BBB, so be prepared on that. My sister opted out for my nephews since they were so young (all under 2 when they had it done) and would likely end up rubbing it into their eyes.

Prepare yourselves, this post WILL make you HUNGRY!!

4. Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich! Again, I refer to the fact that EVERYTHING shaped like Mickey is delicious and AMAZING!

One tip I'd like to offer on the Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich is to hold it in your hands and get it a little warm before trying to eat it. Even more so than a Mickey Bar, these are deep frozen and are incredibly hard to bite into at first.

The only other suggestion I'd make (maybe for a future trip since you have all your ADRs figured out) would be to check out a restaurant at the AKL. Boma's is a favorite of my family and it is really relaxing and fun place. Huge lobby that is great for the kids to run around in and burn off some extra energy before a meal; the savannah is a much more intimate experience than the trails or the safari; and the food at Boma's is awesome!

 HI!!! So glad you found us both!! I do that ALL THE TIME, find a good report and read it in a very short amount of time, lol....

Oh my gosh, I had seriously already thought of that!!! :lmao: I told the hubs I was gonna pack my cd cover and throw it in the back of Livi's autograph book just in case! That would be INSANE!

Yay! Glad to hear that! That's what I will do, I am sure. Maddie will LOVE to pixie dusted. She wanted it last visit, but the BBB people said she was too small. Hopefully she can get some this time! She had it ALL over her anyway, we all did, Olivia's hair and dress rubbed off on everyone and everything in her path! :rotfl:

Good tip! I do hate biting into rock solid frozen items! My hubs had one of these last visit, but the traitor ate it while we were on a ride and I never got a sampling!

I do want to do Boma really badly. I am hoping this trip we get to do all the park stuff we missed last time, and maybe our next trip we can schedule some more down time to visit more off site resorts!

So cool that you used to be a CM, thanks for all the good tips!!!!!!! :woohoo:

Hi, there! :wave2: Thanks for reading! :goodvibes

Okay, as for the snacks: I absolutely second the suggestions of the sweet cream cheese pretzel and the napoleon - both some of our very favorites!

I know you have a corn dog on there, but corn dog nuggets (with cheese sauce) at Casey's Corner are a great snack too.

If you make it to AKL, you must try Zebra Domes. You can get them in the refrigerated section at Mara (quick service) or they have them on the dessert buffet at Boma, if you get there. So good!

For Karamell Kuche, you really can't go wrong, but my very favorite thing there is the dark chocolate sea salt caramel. Mmmmm.

Oh, and Downtown Disney - anything from Ghirardelli is awesome. I had a sea salt caramel chocolate shake last time. The sundaes are great too. They also give you a free chocolate sample for walking into the store.

I'm generally just a lurker and follower of TR and PTRs, but since I FINALLY made it through the whole thing (it took a few days!) I thought I would pop in! I thought it was funny for the longest time that our trips were pretty much at the same time - although we will not be there nearly as long as you are (lucky!) but our park days never coincided... until you switched your AK day around! We are planning to be there as well, with a breakfast ADR and Flame Tree lunch.

Anyway - It's been so much fun to follow along and see all your shoes - they are awesome! I am a pretend crafter... my to do list is much longer than the done list...

I also realized I need to do a little more research into F&W and what all that has to offer...

Okay, so it's nothing too glamorous, but I did whip up the snack passport I talked about making the other day, aptly named my "Snack=Port"! :rotfl2: Yeah, I'm totally clever, huh?? Anyway, I basically included my list I had originally made, so a lot of the suggestions I have been getting are not in there.

My personal plan for this is to upload it to walmart.com photo center and have a flip-book made. That is what I did with our Epcot Passports last year and they turned out great. It's less than $5 for a book, and can be made in the same day for pick-up at your local store. Easy, peasy!! I did realize once I started uploading these to walmart that the left edge (where the binding goes) was going to cut off some of my stuff, as well as my top was getting slightly cut off too. So now I plan to go back in and adjust that, so nothing cuts off. If you want to do a flip book also, let me know, and I will post the adjusted files too when I tweek them. For now though, if you would like to use these, go right ahead. They will work great for just printing on maybe card stock, or even laminating.

I am going to put all the pages as a photo here in my post, however, I created this using Microsoft Publisher, so if you would prefer to have the file, so you can tweek and add to it yourself, I would be happy to email it to anyone who would like it! Just know that some of the fonts and things I used may not transfer to your own computer, because I use a lot of fonts I download, and the sizing or spacing may be off if you use a different version than me!

Enjoy!
