Me and my fiancé are looking to take a tour on our trip Oct 22-27 and are having a hard time deciding on which tour to take. We are worried that the Halloween one will be lame and a money grab by Disney to suck tourists in. However, we have no idea! Would love opinions of anyone who has done both or has information on either.

A few things I've heard from my post on Reddit are:

Happiest Haunts was changed in 2016 to be a little different where the tour is during the day and you are only given a fastpass for Haunted Mansion and you don't get walk on's while on the tour itself like you did in 2015.

Walk in Walt's Footsteps is more about the history of Disneyland and Walk and you get to see the dream suite as well.

Thanks!

Dream suite is off the WIWF tour. It's back to Walt's apartment (which was more appropriate anyway given I did the tour under both arrangements). I'd go WIWF personally but the Happiest Haunts tour is one of the very few tours I haven't experienced. The other being the botanical tour.

I did Walk in Walt's a couple weeks ago. We saw his apartment above the fire house instead of the dream suite. We rode It's a small world. We were supposed to also ride Alice in Wonderland and watch Great moments with Mr. Lincoln, but both were down during our tour, so they gave us an extra bathroom break. There were some interesting things about the tour, but I probably wouldn't recommend it.
