Hey all, I've been reading reviews of the WiWF tour, and it sounds like an interesting experience that I'd enjoy. We have a 9 year old who loves reading, learning and museums etc, and I think she'd find it fascinating too.

Our only problem is that we have a 4 year old who might be more troublesome. We can probably keep her reined in for the duration of the tour, especially if it's broken up with rides, but obviously she's not going to have much interest in the history etc as we will be. Has anyone done the tour with kids that age? We really only get to get out to Disneyland every 2-3 years max and this is something that we've been meaning to do our last couple of visits. So we don't mind paying (getting a babysitter for the duration will probably cost as much)

Our 11yo son would totally not be into the tour (although he would do fine on it) so we decided to split up. My daughter and I will be doing the tour and my husband and son are going to go do whatever they want (either re-visit things they liked or go hang at the hotel).

As long as someone is ready to step out of the tour should the child become disruptive. I'm not sure how many rides are included in the tour these days. I will see if I can find out today....

Two, sort of. Alice and HM. But if things are running long, they may give a FP for one rather than ride as part of the tour. It does run a solid three hours. DD9 enjoyed it, but she was getting pooped (not to mention hungry since lunch was at the end of a tour that started at noon).

You are asking for opinions, so please don't be offended by mine:

It is inconsiderate of other guests to take a young child that will not appreciate the tour.

An example:
I take the Art of the Craft tour of GCH every couple years (content changes, and I'm a GCH fan).
This tour is officially 14 and older, but the last tour had a family with 2 young kids and a stroller. These kids were generally well behaved, but were a constant distraction. The tour included Storytellers, and the kids went wild, since there were characters (from the end of breakfast) in the restaurant. This is a free tour (so I still got my monies worth), but the kids significantly devalued the tour (compared to prior adults only groups).

Of course you know your DD4 better than anyone, and I'm sure some kids handle these long tours without any issues.

Random advice:
If an adult skips the tour to take care of DD4, have them take all tickets to collect FastPasses.

Thanks for your candid responses, folks. I definitely wouldn't want the Hellbeast getting in the way and disrupting a tour that others have paid good money for. Our older girl would love the tour I think.

We are meeting up with some friends for part of our visit, and they are already going to look after our kids one night while the wife and I go to the Chef's Counter. I might see if they can watch the younger child while the other three of us do the tour, maybe spring for lunch for all of them in exchange.
