Walk from VGF to TTC?

Approximately how far is the walk from the VGF building to the TTC? We usually walk from BWV to DHS rather than waiting for a boat so I'm curious how the distance from VGF to TTC compares. Would it save any time to walk to TTC rather than take the resort monorail to TTC and then transferring to the Epcot monorail. Just curious as a backup when crowded or if we feel like walking...otherwise we can't wait to ride the monorail in May!!

We walked it a few times on our last trip in December, the construction at the Poly adds a few more minutes.

Overall maybe 10-15 minutes tops, unless the shops suck you in at the Poly

10 minutes sounds pretty fast. I'm thinking at least 20 for most people's pace.

That said, I'd still probably walk over taking the monorail. I could see it taking half an hour via monorail by the time you walk there, wait on a monorail, couple of stops.

Is it about the same distance from the BWV lobby to DHS or closer/further?

It took us nearly 15 minutes to go from VGF to the boat dock at the Poly so going to the TTC even on a straight line will take longer more like 20-25 minutes.

If you want the boat either from the GF or Poly walk to the Poly since the boat stops there after the GF anyway

Yes and the order is MK->GF->Poly->MK and so on- it is about as close to the Poly boat dock as the GF boat dock from the villas- since the are on the Poly side of the resort- right near the wedding pavilion- that is why just walking to the Poly for the boat is suggested.

On the walking to the TTC it definitely depends on your party and walking speed- we choose to walk from the TTC back to the villas and it took us about 15 min but we are 2 adults who tend to walk at a fairly quick pace when not behind people.
