Walk from Paterri Place at PO

I have never stayed at PO in the Mansions. We have requested Paterri, but now, of course as many disney planners do, we are second guessing ourselves.

When I made the reservation I had looked on the online map and looked like Paterri was a short walk to the main building and main bus stop, now I'm not so sure as people sometimes say, "maps can be misleading".

So if anyone has stayed at Paterri or just walked around "over there" please let me know your opinions. We are two adults and don't mind walking, we just don't won't to feel too far (isolated) from the hub. banana:

If you are staying on the "water" side of Parterre Place it will be less than a five minute walk to the food court, etc. If you are staying on the "parking lot" side add on two minutes to your walk. It's a good location.

Parterre Place covers quite a bit of ground. We were there last month and stayed at Parterre in the little building at the bottom of the map. It was a hike to the main building and the bus stop (compared AB 14 and 15 where we've stayed before), but still only took about 5 minutes. Our room overlooked the water and it was very peaceful there -- no noise at all!

I liked Parterre. Our 10 year old DD did not. She felt it was too far from the pool and food court.

I just want to also reassure you. Last year we were checking into POR where we thought we were going to stay in AB as per our request. To our dismay the CM put us in the Parterre building of the MS. We said way! We kicked and screamed a little but the CM would not . To make a long story longer we Parterre place even though our room was all the way in the back and on the 3rd floor.
