Does anyone know how far of a walk it is from the Beach Club to MGM studios? I know its quite a hike. Has anyone done it before?? Thanks

About 20 - 25 minutes at a leisurely pace...

I would say 15 to 20 minutes depending on if you are taking kids with etc. My son could go from Dolphin or Swan to MGM in 8 minutes. Yacht/Beach are a few minutes the other direction. My short legs couldn't carry me quite that fast!!!

We've done it twice, it takes about 15-25 minutes, we did it once in the evening, it was nice. Another time we did it on a hot summer day, in a hurry. My dd, and her friend complained the whole way. I'll admit it was hot, but we did beat the ferry boat, that we would have had to ride, and for some reason that was important.:confused3

Thanks for asking. I was wondering the same thing. We are staying at the Swan in Nov. I think I would walk back to the resort since we won't be in a hurry to get back. Getting to the park, I would run if I didn't have my parents and kids to hold me back!!! I might time myself to see if I can beat the 8 minutes .;)

15 - 20 minute walk, done it a couple of times. My older son has beat the boat when he has been too impatient to wait with us for the boat!

We were just at the Boardwalk and the walk back to the Boardwalk from MGM was about 15-20 minutes. We were given misinformation about the path from someone who worked at one of the Boardwalk restaurants.

If you are at the Boardwalk, you can get to the MGM path by walking either to the left of the Luna Pool bar or to the left of the Conference Hall pool or behind Jellyrolls.

We ended up taking the boat from the Boardwalk to MGM. The boat first stops at the Boardwalk then the Beach/Yacht Club then at the Swan/Dolphin then to MGM. Once you were on the boat from the Boardwalk to MGM it was about a 20 minute boat ride. That does not include time waiting for the boat which seemed to come about every 15 minutes or so.

I wouldn't consider it quite a hike. We prefer the walk over the boats, especially at MGM closing. It's a nice relaxing walk and there's usually plenty of birds & ducks around to keep you occupied.

Just be sure to use the boat if there's a tropical storm looming in the area.....Not fun :)

We stay at the Swan and I also prefer walking to Epcot and MGM because you will definitely beat the boat. The boat makes alot of stops and the trip to MGM is the longest. The only time we'll take the boat is if it's raining or we're just too darn hot an exhausted to walk:sick:

I always enjoy the boat ride except when were trying to get around in a timely manner or if its the end of the night and its packed with people. And you can end up waiting for the 2nd or 3rd boat to come. Glad to hear its not too bad of a walk and it would save time also. Thanks!
