Can you walk from Animal Kingdom to AKL? If so, about how long does it take? Thinking about Boma on our AK day:)

Not really. While the theme park is just next door, there is no walking path to it. The only way would be to walk down Oceola Parkway. And that would be a hike let alone dangerous.

The walk is not allowed.

On a related note, I've always wondered why they don't offer a tram service (or a safari vehicle) from AKL to AK. That'd be pretty nifty.

As opposed to the regular bus service?

Yes. Something special like the way other deluxes have boat service or monorail. I just think a safari truck or something along those lines would be more interesting or special than a plain ol' bus.

On bad weather days (there can be some REALLY bad winds and rains)
and on hot days, the trams would be a poor choice (or cancelled.)
And, after dark, smaller vehicles on the narrow well-traveled roads would be a hazard.
Remember that if they did build a separate roadway, they'd have to make it wide enough for opposing vehicles to pass each other.
(Consider that there are lakes right alongside the current roadway.)

Maybe the -so far- "vaporware" that is the "gondola"
(which would also likely have to be halted in strong winds and/or lightning conditions.)

Meh. Just dreamin' out loud. And for the record I do not get the appeal of Gondolas. How in the heck would they evac people if it broke down? Especially those in wheelchairs or scooters?

Not to mention AIR CONDITIONING dozens of free-hanging Plexiglass cars in the Florida sun.
