Not sure where to post this, but I'll try here.

We bought a brick for DD back in 1998. It is located at the TTC and have many pictures of it. We were there last week and tried looking for it again, but could not find it. They installed automated ticket machines right where DD's brick was :sad1: Does anyone know if they relocate the bricks? How would I find it?

I would call Magic Kingdom Merchandise since they take care of anything with the bricks. I know when you purchase them they are guaranteed to be in for so long (can't remember now how long) but we met one of the guys incharge of the bricks one year and he told us that in most cases they will stay for a long time unless they build something that will go in place of the brick area. Some have been removed when they relocate things but I would check before you worry about it being gone.

Aloha

Not long after ours was installed(maybe 2 yrs) we had ours relocated but as luck had it, it was relocated to a better spot. Ours is located at the entrance to the MK, second row up after you exit the ferry boats from the TTC its number is E14417. We were able to find it because they still had people in the booth to assist people finding their bricks. They closed that booth several years ago....smjj

The bricks are guaranteed to be there for 10 years from purchase. So if yours is not in it's spot, it would have been moved.

I think the bricks will be there longer the 10 years though. I see no point in them ripping them out anytime soon. I mean they built the walkway all the way around, even connecting wedding bricks over at the wedding pavilion along the way.

I think they just did the 10 year thing to protect themselves incase they ever do want to take them out.

Tikiman - Thanks. I did send an email from the WDW site. I received the usual automated response. I hope they can help. Hopefully they relocated it to a different location. It wasn't until we stayed at the Poly in 2003 that we were able to find it. We will be back there in July. It was a nice short walk from the Poly to the TTC to see it. DD was so disappointed this time. I'm on a mission though. I vowed to her that by July, we will at least have it's location...I hope

smjj - I'm hoping that is all they did was move it and not in the middle of nowhere. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

lclark0621 - I didn't know they were good for 10 years. Thanks.

Just call the main WDW number and ask for Magic Kingdom Merchandise and there should be someone who knows about the bricks.

Hope you find it.

Aloha

You can check at guest services right outside the turnstiles at Magic Kingdom. They were able to give us a map with the location of our brick.

Steve - Thanks. I'll give them a call later. I just received the response from the WDW site. They are so off base it's not even funny. I asked them where I could find my brick if it was moved and their response was how much the Leave A Legacy in EPCOT is. :sad2: Sometimes you really have to wonder...

Ever since they stopped selling them in 2000 and than a year later shut down the booth outside the MK there has been no easy way of getting info. We were lucky to meet one of the guys in charge of the bricks one night. He was doing some overtime replacing a brick over at the TTC and we found out you could change out a brick if you already had one. We replaced our Engagement brick with a Wedding brick and we also got acrylic versions of both bricks to display at home and I think Tara got a key chain with the brick on it.

Even in 2001 it was hard to find someone that knew anything about the bricks so I am sure that now it is even more difficult. We knew someone who worked for Magic Kingdom Merchandise and she use to help us with the brick info also but I don’t know if she is still there.

I was unaware we could change out our brick if we already had one. What do they do with the old one, can we have it sent to us??..smjj
