Walgreens

we used safeway for decades but their service got SO BAD a handful of years ago we switched to our local old school pharmacy-no more false promises from an automated system on when the scrip would be available for pickup, no more delays of days on end. we could save a bit by doing mail order but we want to support our old school local place (live people answer the phone, if they don't have a med and it's pressing THEY will call other places to help you locate it, VERY helpful w/the local college kids and coordinating filling out of area scrips-and god bless um, i've overheard them tell regular customers who were short on cash to pay what they could and pay the rest when they can :lovestruc-very old school local place).

Don't get me started on how much I hate Walgreens. My dad has his meds with them. I need both hands to count the number of times they have messed up his blood pressure medication. I've told him to check the drugs before he leaves the line to make sure they are the right ones, but he says he feels bad holding up the line.:o

I don't use Walgreens but have heard of various issues with them, similar to yours. Also have recently heard of people near me who can't get flu or COVID vaccines there but every other place has them.

Another Walgreens rant....they like to put RXs on auto fill without permission. I like to control when my RXs are filled so I never give permission. It got so bad I filed a fraud complaint with my insurance.

I wouldn't use them but they are close and the military dropped Walmart and Kroger.

I used to use Walgreen's and never had a problem with them in our small town.
Then we switched insurance companies and they would not cover Walgreens RX's.
So we switched to Walmart. I was very apprehensive about Walmart and had no problem with WAlgreens.
However, I now love Walmart and sing their praises! They are always quick, efficient, and courteous. I was really surprised at the level of professionalism at our Walmart!

I have to go to CVS as my state has a contract with them. They're not stellar but I refuse to go to Walgreens as they stopped selling abortion medication in 21 states.
