Walgreens, Coupons and Register Rewards

I know from personal experience that, at Walgreens, you cannot use a register reward for an item that prints out another register item. But can you use a mfg. coupon for an item that will print out a register reward?

Example...I see that the Infusium shampoo is free after register rewards...I have a 2.00 off coupon can I use it?

in my experience yes...this week i used the walgreens coupon for triaminic and the manufac. coupon for triaminic and earned the reg. rewward. did this also for theraflu. both were moneymakers after coupons and earning reg rewards.

Thank you...I posted a while ago that when I tried to use a reg rewards for another item that prints out a register rewards...I was accused of trying to cheat the system (by a Walgreens employee) and I was the same as a thief.

I always use rr on items that print other rrs. You will need a 'filler' item so that it will print, something you are not using a rr or manu coupon on.

Example: I have the 2.00 manu for the infusion. I will buy the infusiom using my manu and buy the 3 for 1.00 candy or something small that will help with the tax. Use a 2 RR from another item I purchased a few weeks ago. Basically spend about 2 bucks but get the rr for the whole 4.99 which makes it a money maker of about 2.99.

You CAN get a RR using a RR as long as the item is not from the same company or the same item. I can't roll an infusion RR into another and get the rr.

The wags clerk you spoke to didn't know what she was talking about. I always try to use the cosmetic counter..they are way more helpful there!

I would have calmly asked for a manager. Any clerk who said I was thief is just waiting for someone to complain IMHO. There are several websites, including the Wags website, that has their coupon policy.

That is crazy to have an employee speak to a customer in that manner. Wags ad's even show on their rr deals that you can use a manu coupon and and on the rr it states can be used in Wags for your next visit. Nowhere on the fine print does it state I can't use it for another RR item.
