Hi, has anyone got highs and lows they can share for the Waldorf Astoria in Orlando? We have just booked this hotel for 4 nights to follow our Disney cruise in August!

While I've never stayed at the Waldorf Astoria, I did stay at the adjoining Hilton once. The biggest disappointment was the shuttle buses that serve both hotels. If you want to go to the Ticket/Transportation Center, you could go every half hour. For other theme parks, they only run shuttles once per hour. And, if you missed the Disney Springs (Downtown Disney) route in either direction, you'd have to wait 2 hours for the next bus. If your family works well on a schedule, this might not be a problem.

They only publish schedules for current dates, but here is the shuttle schedule website: http://www.bonnetshuttle.com/

I haven't had to use transportation but as far as the hotel itself goes it is by far my personal favorite in orlando and one of my top in the county. I find it much much nicer that the new Four Seasons hotel and much better priced. Bull and Bear their high end steak house is very old school classic dinning with full attention to service which is something most places have lost these days. Pool is nice more plain sheek style. You can also use the attached hilton rest pool if you prefer more of a kids lagoon type pool.
