Hello,

We are looking to stay off site for the first time in years. I am looking for an affordable option that is also luxurious. However, looking at the Waldorf Astoria website, the prices seem quite high (as much as GF prices).

Is there a way to find discounts for this resort? We were hoping to not go over $500 per night. Perhaps that is an unrealistic expectation for this resort?

Any ideas, anyone?

Thank you for any help!

It depends on when you go. They run a lot of specials like this one for May: http://www.waldorfastoriaorlando.com/may-weekends

Also, if your dates are flexible you can check the box that says flexible dates when you use their website's booking system. You can compare different dates.

I have paid as little as $189 a night for a standard room there. As far as the hotel goes it is very nice, but I like the Ritz Grande Lakes better. I don't really like the pool at the Waldorf. We found ourselves walking over to the Hilton and using the lazy river pool over there. But I will say the rooms and service is great and they have an excellent golf course.
