I think it would be fun to stay at the Waldorf for our next trip for a less park more pool time experience. Do they have cheaper rates the earlier you book? Do they ever have deals for less than 300 a night? I do have AAA. Thanks.

Rates vary based on dates, seasonality, and other factors.. Your best bet is to visit the official website (link below) and play with different dates to see which ones yield the best rates, be sure to select that you are a AAA member for the discount, sometimes there are also special packages offered..

I believe you are only able to book online 1 year in advance at Hilton. (Waldorf Astoria is a Hilton brand.) As MrKnight notes, rates vary based on lots of different factors. It's a complicated process that's mostly done by sophisticated software that predicts demand.

I used to be a hotel Revenue Manager. That's the person who is responsible for setting rates and maximizing room revenue. For a hotel in a high-demand area like Disney World, I'd say it's unlikely that you're going to see any great discounts a year in advance. It's usually smarter for the hotel to keep rates higher and only add deep discounts a few months or even weeks prior to arrival.

The Hilton website has a "flexible dates" feature. Using that with a 4-night stay, I searched for rates for the next several months. I saw a couple of dates at the end of May that were $275/night. And, lots of June has non-refundable rates of $292/night. Of course, there were also many nights where the cheapest rate was over $500/night. Don't forget to add the $35/night resort fee on top of those rates.

I noticed rates now are high for the next month (when we usually go to Orlando late Feb. Early March). Thanks for the insight.
