I am in S. Jersey and we are expecting up to 30" of the white stuff. It is terrible here already this morning. We are snowed in and have no plans of going anywhere for the entire weekend.

Looks like I will be baking some banana nut muffins this morning, maybe doing some scrapbooking, watching movies and stay warm and comfy.

I'd love to hear what everyone here does in a "Blizzard."

I'll probably watch some movies and take naps. I've been up all night watching the snow come down. I'm a weather geek..lol. Btw, I'm in South Jersey too.

Good Morning Kitty,

I am suffering through my own blizzard down here. We are at 22 inches with another 10 possible:scared:

I am making myself a big country breakfast and then going to start working on shoveling. Boy the winds are bad! It was harsh all night here with my electric popping on and off all night.

I'm going to finish painting my kitchen today and start on my office. I'm making a small pot of chili in the crockpot for dinner tonight and have a super bowl party for 1 tomorrow night;)

Ya'll stay warm and bundled up there.

Tina, Hmmm.... did you say country breakfast? Can I bring my country style butt over and join ya? Not sure how I'll get there but the thought is there... :rotfl:

I am going to do some baking, and we are having a super bowl party for two. I have tons of work in the office today.

We're going to be snowed in for days. I am glad we did our grocery shopping on Wed. and have plenty of food because it looks like we'll be stuck at home for a long time.

Today we'll be watching the weather on TV, playing board games, SHOVELING (even though it'll snow all day I want to try and keep up with it because this is heavy snow) and making a big pot of soup for dinner.

Tomorrow I hope to do more shoveling and it's a good TV day! There's a Monk Marathon on Sleuth, the Puppy Bowl :happytv: and the Superbowl! We can eat the leftover soup and Superbowl junk food.

I plan to make a big pot of chili on Monday.

Stay safe, everyone!

You are more than welcome anytime, Kitty. I"m making egg whites, turkey bacon, potatoes with onion and peppers and some fruit. I figure I'm burning enough calories to just open the my front door. Heck look at all the clothes you have to wear to even think about going outside to shovel!

I am going to have a tshirt made that says "southern girl survives blizzard alone!";)

I luv the puppy bowl! :goodvibes

Kelly, did you see the snow total in Garrett county? I don't know where that is but the weather man said 37 inches already! Can you imagine if they get another 10 inches?? All I keep thinking is that I'm 5'5 tall lol and 4 ft of snow is ALOT:scared:

Me, too. It's so cute!

Garrett Co. is in Maryland.

I've been following this site http://www.footsforecast.org/ and their predictions seem to be spot-on. This is a massive snowstorm. Some places here have 20" already and another 10" or so are still expected. The bad thing is that this is VERY heavy snow. It'll be like shoveling rocks, and the temp is going down tonight so it'll make shoveling even harder tomorrow.

Awww me too. I think I look forward to this more than the actual superbowl :rotfl2:

I feel so bad for you guys that have so much snow. We got some last night (under a foot) and expect more throughout the day. Even though our snow is minimal I just do not feel like going anywhere this weekend. So I am going to finish up my last homework assignment for the week and then spend the afternoon watching movies and baking bread.

Save some of that breakfast for me!I'm putting my snow shoes on now and should be there sometime before the snow actually melts:rotfl:

I have no idea what the inches are here yet,but I shoveled 4 times last night before I gave up and this morning it looks as if I did NOTHING! I don't even want to think about more shoveling.

I'm so sorry about all the snow some of you are getting. I was very happy in North NJ today when I woke up and saw ---- absolutely nothing. No snow yet. They are saying we will get 1-3 inches but so far it looks like we had, maybe, a little rain.

I plan on making something with chicken breast in the crock pot, making my sons Alligator birthday cake, watching a movie, and working a puzzle in front of the fire place. If the wind dies down we will go find a hill and do some sledding and build a snowman! Oh and packing for Great Wolf tomorrow!

In south/east PA - two feet so far and still coming down. I have a great dane and even SHE doesn't like to go out!. can't imagine how my daughter's chihuaha in Harrisburg is doing :rotfl:. Today will be shoveling and snow blowing (our driveway is 400 feet long - we live in the country). when DH gets up I have to tell him that the fridge is on the fritz. I noticed it this morning when I went to get something out of it. Things are just not cold . On the positive note - I guess I can put the things outside to keep cold ;)

We're in Central Jersey. DH says we have about 3 to 4 inches. Coming down pretty hard now. We're going to hunker down and chill all weekend. DD is already bored and shadowing my every step. I told her to go read a book because I don't want her up my butt all day. I think I'll make her clean her room. :lmao:

Good luck Tina! Isn't snow fun???

Maryland here - tons of snow so far. Got up at 6 to let my lab out and he was afraid and wouldn't go out - and he loves the snow. We lost power last night for 3 hrs. but luckily it is back on now. One pine tree in my yard snapped already and is hanging over my fence  When i went to shovel a path for my dog on the deck the snow is sooooooo heavy. I can't imagine shoveling later today. I'm almost afraid to put the weather on the tv. I believe we are under a blizzard warning.

As for what we are going to do besides shoveling, my kids each have some projects to do for school plus we also have a girl scout project to work on.

ps - i love the puppy bowl too

central jersey here. Woke up with about 3 inches but that hs changed in the last coupleof hours. It is coming down harder and really blowing. I am wondering how ds is doing at Rowan U.

I'm in Hillsborough and we have about 6 inches (my DD measured it when she put the dog out) - I'm about to make some cinnamon rolls to see if the smell will wake my DH up :rotfl: otherwise my DDs are watching TV and I'm in my scraproom cruising the computer and scrapbooking which is what I'm planning to do all day:thumbsup2

It's just no fair--we haven't had a storm like this in YEARS!! We used to get at least one a season but I think the last time we had one this big was about 10 years ago.
