I am trying to get DD in to wake up Tinkerbelle on our December trip. Probably the only day I have that we can be there at opening is on an EE day. What should I do for a strategy? Should I book breakfast in the park to get in early? Right now I don't have that planned. I am worried that the people with ressies will beat us out if we aren't in the MK prior to EE official opening time...

I'm sorry - rushed that message I guess. There is a gift shop right beyond the castle (too early, can't think of the name) that sells a lot of princess merchandise. Anyways, if you are the first ones at the store you get to "wake up" Tinkerbelle by tapping on "her house." (They then turn on the lights that sparkle around the store and that means Tinkerbelle is up)

Sounds cute, DD is fast growing up and this is probably the last year I'll get her to do this kind of thing :(

That is soooo cute. I didn't even know they had that.

I guess just getting there early, maybe calling the store the night before?

I hope she gets to do it :)

OK, bumping myself up.

Maybe I should ask this a different way. On EE days, what is the earliest that you can get into the parks (PS or otherwise) and do the stores open up early or right at park opening time?

i'm not sure about the time the stores open, but the ee opening time this past march was right on the nose. for example, we had 8:05 ps at the castle for breakfast. ee opening was 8am and you could not go in any earlier than that.

I am going to attempt to be the first set of people into Tinkerbell's Treasure on Friday 10/24. It is not a EE day. So far my game plan is to be on the first bus to MK ,should leave All-Star Sports at 8am and hoping to arrive in MK around 8:30 and hoping there is not as huge gathering yet and we can be within the first 50-75 people in head right towards Tinkerbell's Treasure store. But I have alot of hoping going on as you can see...So any pixie dust you can send this way might help. I am doing the Family Magic Tour this morning too at 10 am. I have heard great things about this. My daughter (10) does not know about either of these so she will not be disappointed if we miss out on Tinkerbell. I will be disappointed but soon will be crawling hopping and skipping ,singing songs and having a great time doing the tour.

I return on 11/02 and will post how my attempt went .

Blow your spare pixie dust towards NY...thanks
Lori

I'll be waiting Lori-n-NY - Good luck - Pixie Dust coming your way:bounce:

Pixie Dust to you Lori...

BTW - couldn't make it to Carousel on Saturday. Went Sunday for my flu shot. I'm paranoid about getting the flu while on vacation.

Have a great trip and can't wait to hear your trip reports!
