The kids think we are leaving Saturday but we are leaving Friday, they'd never get any sleep otherwise. Since we will be staying at AKL we are planning on waking them up with "Circle of Life" from Lion King blaring from the home stereo! We've told them that we are going to do it so it should be a real shock when they hear it a day early.

What do you do when you get up on WDW-day?

Jdads,

That is just awesome. I love that!! What a way to start your vacation.

When we go in May, we are leaving from Atlantic City on Spirit. We have a 7am flight and Spirit wants you there 3 hours before. I'm about 2 hours from Atlantic City.

I think I'll borrow your idea and blast some disney music at 2am.

Have a great trip.

On our departure day, I can never sleep the night before, even if I take something to help me sleep!

I usually set the alarm clock to wake me 2 hours before I get my DH and sons up!

After they wake up, it's bedlam! So w/the 2 hour jumpstart, I can get things done in a nice quiet leisurely fashion!

and I usually wake up in the middle of the night and stay up! We also always take the 7Am flight!!  Chris really loves that! ;) But as soon as I get up - I start running around doing things, not that there ever much to do LOL. Chris just sits there and watches me and shakes his head...

By the way - The kids will be so supprised!

Your children will remember this for a lifetime! (Of course, their hearing may take a few weeks to recover -- :p ) A surprise like this is a perfect way to start a Disney vacation. Great idea!!!

Well since I never sleep the night before Disney, there is no waking up for me!;) So the first thing I usually do is put on a pot of nice strong coffee!!:) I LOVE your idea of waking the kids with Disney music...mind if I borrow it? We leave Christmas morning so I will probably have Disney Christmas tunes blaring!!! What fun...great idea! Have a great trip!!

We can never sleep the night before we go! We ususally take the 6:30 am flight and try to go to bed by 8pm so we can be up by 2 am or so and get everything together and head to the airport. It never works, and we end up just staying up all night, so this trip we will be taking the red eye! Leaving at 2:30 am, taking first class and hopefully getting some sleep! We figured if we are going to be up anyway, might as well be traveling!

I usually have a really hard time falling asleep the night before my trip, but I usually do around 2 or 3 am. Then I'm finally sound asleep when the alarm wakes me up. But I don't mind too much, since I'm going to WDW. ;) I love the idea with the Lion King music! Your kids will love it!

I sleep just fine, I just don't go to bed till 12:00 midnight.:o My train in Nov. leaves at 7:24am, so I will arise at 6:00am and DH will drive me to the train station at 7:00am. (I only live 8 min. from the Train Station). When he drives, I get up at the same time and we leave by 7:30, its only a 3.5 hour car trip WITH 2 Stops!:o
