Waitlisting at BLT AGAIN!

This is my 3rd time to waitlist at BLT the other 2 times it did not come through. They were for a 7 days each but this time it's only for 2 days, April 6th & 7th in a MKV studio. Do you think my chances are better this time? Thanks

The fact that you only want two nights is about the only item working in your favor.

BLT is high demand. Magic Kingdom view is both very low supply and high demand. Studios are reportedly the most sought-after accommodation size. Your dates are right in the middle of spring break. And, assuming you just got on the waitlist, you did it less than 4 months out. There could be dozens of people ahead of you on the waitlist for a MK view Studio on those dates.

The short trip duration can overcome a lot of that since dates will filter down the waitlist until a 100% match is made. But you're still entirely dependent upon there being a MK view Studio cancellation for those dates AND the room getting to you on the WL. I'd put your chances at no better than 50/50.

I agree with TimK that since you are asking for only two days you have a better chance of getting the WL. However I too think that it might be more difficult to get in April. At least you are not trying for Easter weekend. Here's some to help you get your request. You might consider changing the WL to be a Lake View instead. There are a lot more LV views than Theme Park views at BLT so that would increase your chances.

I'd waitlist for another view, not the theme park view. You might have a better chance of getting the standard or lake view. The other views are fine. In fact most lake views have a view of mk off to the side.

About 20% of the LV rooms have a view of MK.
Only Lake view rooms with even # on the tennis courts side have a view of MK.

However, you can see MK from the skybridge, elevators, and the TOTWL.

I waitlisted for BLT for 3 nights during President's week. We had reservations for SSR.

My waitlist came through for BLT for the 3 nights, Lake view studio. I was very surprised, especially during that week.

We got out BLT waitlist for Christmas week!!! I had two waitlists going for it - one for LV and one for MK view. The LV came through first, we were thrilled we got something!! Hoping you get yours too!!
