waitlist...your killin' me

sheeesh. Booked a 1BR lake view at BLT in January 7 months to the day. Could not get the last night then and still waiting for it. We have the last night currently at VWL, which isn't a bad thing. But 1 freakin Thursday night in January at 7 months. C'mon!

Uh oh. Are you waitlisted for the same nights we need at BTL? My husband, our son and my husband's friend decided to do the Goofy Challenge (our son will only be doing the half - he's not old enough). We're at OKW right now, but BLT might be nice for me not to have to go to Epcot.

we waitlisted at AKL for a 2br, any view at the 7 month mark for 2 nights after our cruise... so far, no luck. We have 2 studios, so at least something, but really want that WL to come thru!

I waitlisted for the first time for a 2BR at BWV this Sept until 7 days before my trip. Waitlist never came thru but I called 3 days before my trip and was able to get it. Not sure why it never came thru before but was happy I was able to get it. Do they give up cash rooms for DVC points right before check in? I just couldn't believe I got it. I had been calling every week up to 3 days before hand to check with no luck and then it was there 3 days before arrival. Anyways, keep calling up to check-in date you might get it. My dedicated 2BR close to HH at OKW just came thru for Jan 9-13th. SO happy about that.

Have faith! I waitlisted for a GV at Grand Californian for the first night of our stay next month and it came through last week! I had a 2BR for that night in the meantime and really didn't have any hope that it would flip!

Yeah tell me about it. I called at opening at 7 months out for our Dec trip and the first night was not available so I could get nothing. Called the next day and same thing. Called again and I was missing days here and there for our 8 nights. So I gave up and just went with OKW in a 2bd. I decided to waitlist just the first 3 nights of our vacation and still nothing. I even gave up calling. Although I am itching to see what else is available which I know will be NOTHING.

I feel your pain! We are wait listed for a GV at AKL for Oct and haven't heard anything. MS told us we might get lucky at 30 days out, but we are at 23 days out and no luck so far. We are at SSR so at least we are there!

Did you get put on the 7 day out waitlist when you hit 30 days out?

am hoping for WL to come through for studio at Jambo for 11/28 but so far no luck so booked a 1BR at OKW just to be sure of having a room. Then have to move to AKV for the remaining 2 nights. Since we have such a short amount of time I really would like to be at one resort for all the nights but DGD is excited about being at AKV so don't want to give that up.

It is our home resort as well as our favorite. However, we do not like switching resorts during our stay. But especially for just the last night.
