Waitlist Worries

My home resort is BWV, I've been on the waitlist since the week after my 11 month window opened up for Nov 5-11th. I called MS 3 times before a nice CM told me that the reason we weren't getting our waitlist is because the waitlist request was made for the whole week so I would get my request when a whole week that matched my reservation opened up. YIKES.

I had them change the waitlist request for day by day and got one day on the list. I'm down to a month before they boot me off the waitlist. Anyone else have a similar experience with some words of wisdom?

I hope it comes through for you. That's going to be a tough one to get - it's Jersey week & the Veteran's Day Holiday.

If you don't already have a back up plan, I'd recommend you make one asap (assuming you are going no matter what). I fear that you went to the bottom of the waitlist for each day when you made the change.

P.S. Were you waitlisted only for standard view or Boardwalk view? I'm surprised to hear you had to waitlist if you called at the 11 month window. Thats usually a sign that a member was only interested in SV (or BW view) accommodations.

Why not try Carib. Beach, Coronado Springs or Port Orleans? While they are not DVC resorts, I was able to get rooms for the first week of November just yesterday. Also, did you try asking MS about other DVC resorts? Sometimes I've been surprized at the responses. Good luck.
