Once again, the waitlist came through. We decided to re-arrange our Aug. trip.We were able to get a 1BD at OKW for 4 nights, but on the second night of the trip, we could only get a studio. While, I'm not opposed to moving, we were already moving at the end of the OKW trip from a 1BD to a studio (not enough pts.!) and then moving to HH. So we did the happy dance when the 1BD came thru.
What is the "bad"? I was on the phone w/ MS making PSs for the trip & couldn't resist checking on availability for the one night & specifically asked about the waitlist. Nothing yet. When I got home from work, our letter notifying us that we got our request was waiting. Why can't MS tell you when your request has come thru? DH thinks that their computers don't give them that info. What if you end up changing your plans because they tell you "Nothing yet" and your letter is already in the mail. I think this can be handled better.
I'm still thrilled that we got our request. Third time we've used the waitlist & it's worked every time!

We're you specific with them? I think your DH is right, they can't tell if soemthing was a waitlist but if you say "did the 23rd in at 1 bdrm at OKW come through by any chance?" they can tell what is reserved.

I would agree and just ask if you had more that one waitlist going.

I just called today to check on a waitlist and at first was told that nothing had matched. Well, I have a couple going so I was about to ask about a specific one, when she said, I see you are booked at OKW for ...... and she said the date and it was the waitlist I was just about to ask for. She said she could see where it matched earlier in the day.

I would always ask about the specific date.
