Waitlist Success

I have been on the waitlist for BWV since August for President's week. We had VWL already reserved. I did not waitlist for day by day, only for the entire res. I just checked the DVC member site and my waitlist has come through!!!

We just cancelled a Std View studio on the night of the 21st, so I'm sure that finished off someone's ressie. Glad the waitlist worked for you.

I'm a relatively new member, and so far, I've gotten the reservations I've wanted, so I haven't had to use the waitlist yet. I'm sure I'll need it eventually, though. I have a question. If you have a reservation at one resort, and you're on the waitlist for a different resort that you want to stay at instead, can you set up your waitlist request so that the reservation at the old resort gets canceled if you're able to get a reservation at the waitlisted resort? Otherwise, you'd need to have double the number of points available, right?

This is exactly what we did for our studio-1BR switch and it worked great. On my transaction history you see the studio cancelled, and then the 1BR booked right after that.

I'm still awaiting my BCV 1BR for 1/26 though! And I'm getting a little anxious that it won't come through.
