When creating a waitlist, f you choose a contract and also choose not to borrow and then you end up not having enough points in that contract without borrowing, what will happen? I know they won't borrow since you explicitly told them not to, but is there a chance they would use another contract for the additional points needed?

I'm doing some rearranging of reservations and am not sure which ones we will keep. I don't think I'm ready to deactivate the waitlist, since if I deactivate it and then start it again, won't I start over at the end of the list?

If you choose do not borrow, they won’t borrow from any of the contracts you have.

If think that they will use whatever contract has points as I don’t remember choosing which contract to use..but most of my waitlists replace other trips, so maybe that is why.

And, yes, I’d you deactivate and do a new one, you do lose your place.

A few weeks ago my waitlist came through and they borrowed points when I said not to borrow. I forgot I had it and used some points for another reservation so I was 4 short when it became available. Maybe because none of my other contracts had any points I don’t know but it did happen.

Thanks for the information. You do get to choose which contract to use, but I don't know if that means to use that contract first or only.

Oh, wow! That is not good to hear.

I’m glad they didn’t listen to me because I really wanted it so it worked out!

I always take a screen shot of the screen when I make one that shows I chose do not borrow so I have proof if it is ever done wrong.

The issue is that you have to choose "Do Not Borrow" before submitting. After you submit, there is nowhere to see that you chose that. I'm not sure that would be proper proof for them. I wish it would show all the details--like the chosen contract and ability to borrow.

Actually it shows on the last page Once it’s confirmed. Here is one I did awhile ago.

Maybe I'm thinking once you have to click it on your dashboard. Then you can see very few details even when you click on "View or Modify Details." I'll pay more attention the next time I do a waitlist and screenshot this page. Thanks!
