Waitlist Question

I have three nights in a 1-BR followed by 2 nights in a 2-BR for DHHIR this November. I could kick myself for cancelling our Fall Break trip (5 nights in a studio in October). We thought we would go to WDW but have since cancelled that. Anyway, it's just my DH and me, so we don't need a 2-BR. I have waitlisted for a 1-BR (the Thursday is available right now but not the Wednesday) and set it to cancel the 2-BR if it comes through. Unfortunately, I don't have enough points to book the Thursday night and waitlist the Wednesday night. We would be happy with a 1-BR for just Wednesday night (which might increase our chances of the waitlist coming through), and then we would cancel the Thursday night in the 2-BR. Again, I would set this to cancel the 2-BR reservation for the 2 nights. But what happens if both nights open up at the same time? Which waitlist will they choose to fulfill first?

From my understanding, they would fill in order of how they were made. If your one night waitlist is made before your two night waitlist, the one night gets filled first

This, of course, assumes no one is in front of you for either night.

That is why shorter waitlists always have a better chance of coming through because they do not hold rooms back.

Honestly, I’d do just the two night one and then stalk constantly by using modify for the 2 bedroom you have to see if you can change it on your own.
