Waitlist Question

I'm on the waitlist for a week in June however I have a split reservation in July. If my waitlist comes through will they automatically cancel my split reservation to transfer the points to my waitlist reservation ? I checked off not to borrow and it would only allow me to check off one of my split stays in July ? I would need them to cancel both but there is not an option for both.

You will need to call MS and have them note the waitlist is to cancel both. If not, it will only cancel the one.

Anytime you want something done that is not a simple replacing of an entire trip, you have to reach out to them so that the CM who actually processes it after it matches, can do what you want.

I currently have a reservation in October for 3 nights at my home resort but some of the points for that stay are borrowed. I would like to wait list Boardwalk at 7 months but do not want to cancel my reservation in case it does not come through. Can I wait list with borrowed points and the cancel the other reservation after the wait list comes through?

You can just set up the waitlist online to replace your current one if Boardwalk comes through. If it does not, your initial trip is safe,

The OP has two reservations currently and wants the waitlist to have both of them canceled to do the new one...that is why a call is needed,

As long as what you want is an even swap...3 night trip changed to a new resort for 3 nights, the system online is set up perfectly for that.

Yes, you can’t do a waitlist until you can actually book the room...if available.
