Waitlist Question

Hello all, it's my first time using the waitlist and I have some questions. Some background: today my 7 month window opened up for a 6 night stay. While I can't believe I'm even typing this, I was able to score a BWV 1bd Standard view for the first 5 nights of my stay. Special thanks to @supersnoop for the 2-browser method, btw. Anyway on to my question: I want to waitlist the 6th night but I don't own at BWV so the system won't let me. My question is, is this something member services could do for me since it's a waitlist with the intention of being attached to an existing reservation in my booking window? Or must I wait until April 1 to create the waitlist? I'm guessing it's the latter but figured I could get an answer here. TIA!

So interesting fact: We moved our reservation out in October from October 20-27 to October 26-2nd this morning. My intentions were to move it to 27-3rd. They did however let me waitlist 2nd/checkout 3rd. I was shocked. I even checked and the waitlist was active. Is this "legal?"
