Waitlist question

We have been members since 2011 and I thought I had booking down. But .......

we have never tried to waitlist a stay. And here's my question.
We would like to stay at Boardwalk (not home resort) and I am pretty sure we can get Garden view, but there is a "hole" in the Boardwalk view for our stay. IF we book garden view and put in a wishlist for Boardwalk view for the same dates - do I need twice the points? (Points for the booking AND the same amount of points for the wishlist?)

No. You simply need to indicate on your wait list request that it will be replacing an existing reservation.
