As I said in another thread, I'm at BCV for 6 nites, a Saturday thru Friday. Ideally, I'd like to spend the first nite or two at BWV in a standard view studio-either Saturday or Saturday and Sunday. So at 7 months I'd go on a waitlist for a BWV standard view studio for that/those nites. Now here's my dilema that I hope others can help me decide what to do. If I go on the waitlist day by day,and Saturday comes through, that's fine! However, what I'm afraid of is having Sunday come through, but not Saturday. Then I'd be in the position of being at BCV the first nite, switching over to BWV for a nite, then switching back. Because if I go on auto waitlist, won't they cancel my reservation at BCV for that nite? So when I hear that this is what happened, BCV may be full so I can't switch back-I'd rather stay at BCV for all 6 nites than have to switch twice. Having just the first nite at BWV is OK, at least I'd only switch once-and it does save me some points (only 2, but it helps). Also. it would be nice to "check out" BWV for 1 nite (as long as it didn't mean moning twice). So what do you think I should do?

Two comments:

1. If you choose to use two single night waitlist requests, then don't use the auto booking option. If you leave it so that they don't book it automatically, they will call to ask if you still want the reservation. You should have 24 hours to call them back with your decision to book the room (and make any cancellations that might require). This would give you the chance to evaluate the situation.

2. However, I recommend that instead of two single night requests, you make one for just the Sat night and the other for BOTH Sat and Sunday. Put the two-night request in first (autobook) and then make the Sat night request (call to confirm).

Any chance you have enough points to say yes to the 1 night if it comes up and not cancel BCV ressie until you see if you the Saturday becomes avail. I know it is unpopular with several members but I have held two ressies in situations like this and than cancelled as soon as the other waitlist opens.

I think either cancellation makes someone else's waitlist come true and therefor very happy.

Good luck
