waitlist question

I am trying to book a stay for april 24 and 25th. the april 24th date is currently unavailable, but the 25th is. I cant book the 25th today as it is outside my 7 month booking window.
question is whether it is better to waitlist the entire stay today, or waitlist the 24th only and try to book the 25th tomorrow morning?
if I waitlist the entire stay, does the 25th automatically get booked tomorrow (assuming something is available)
first time wait-lister.

I'd immediately create the 2-night WL (24 & 25). If you are successful tomorrow booking the 25th -- then amend (cancel/recreate or phone MS) the WL to a single night.

A WL must match ALL nights to be filled. It won't grab/hold the 25th for while waiting for the 24th.

Of course, you might also consider booking an entirely different resort, unit type or view type?

No, waitlists only fill if the entire reservation is available.
