Waitlist question

We want to head back to the "World" next December - we just got back from VWL and LOVED it! - and had a booking question. If we want to stay at BCV, but we own BLT. I was thinking we should book BLT at the 11 month mark, then call at 7 months to transfer to BCV or waitlist. My question comes when the points are different between the two. 6 nights for BLT is roughly the same as 7 nights at BCV. But we really want to stay 7 nights and not lose points. Any advice? Thanks!

You don't lose any points, they go back into your account.

Yes, or bank them if you can. Now you see how your UY is important based on when you vacation.

You are correct, those borrowed points have to be used in the UY into which they were transferred. They should be able to apply the borrowed points to the BCV reservation first and then you can bank any current UY points to the next year, as long as your wait list comes through before your banking deadline.
