Waitlist Question

Just passed ROFR!!! I need some help to clarify the wait list procedure and what MS will do. Lets say I make a reservation 11 months out at my home resort and use all my current year points (150 pts). Then at the 7 month window I get on the wait list for a different resort but need 250 for that reservation. Since I would not have enough points for that reservation will MS automatically borrowing points from next year (100)? Or when I get on the wait list will they ask me. I also assume they will cancel the 1st reservation? Thanks.

If you call at 7 months and have to waitlist for the room you want, MS will keep your current reservation until the waitlist comes in.

If, to fulfill the waitlist, you need to borrow, MS will automatically do that when fulfilling the request.

As long as the points will be there to borrow, you will be all set!!
