Waitlist question

I'm waitlisted for the first time and have a couple of questions. Will they let me know if the waitlist comes through? Should I call and check-in periodically to see if there is availability? Can you be on more than one waitlist? Right now we're on the BCV list, but I also wouldn't mind trying BWV or VWL.

We already are booked, but I want to change resorts, so even if it doesn't come through our vacation will still happen, but I'd really like to try a different resort.

I was on wait list for a studio @ SSR for 11/11 & 12. The CM told me the wait list would expire on 10/10 and I would have to call back to continue on with the wait list. I didn't call back and booked a room for the 2 nights @ Port Orleans. I went online on 10/12 to bank my points and it was showing the wait list had come through on 10/12. I received an updated reservation in the mail on Sat. 10/20. I was really surprised that it came through considering that is the last weekend for Food & Wine and Super Soap Weekend.

Anyway, no one will call, you will just need to check on line. In my case, calling didn't matter.
