Waitlist question from a newbie--Please Help

I'm new to DVC and how the waitlist works. Here's my situation. I'm currently booked in a 1br at SSR for the first week of June because that was all that was available for my dates. However, I would really like either VWL, BW or AKV instead. Should I keep the SSR reservation and then ask to get on the waiting list for one of the others? If so, which one should I pick? What I mean is which one do I have the best chance of getting. For instance, I believe that VWL has fewer 1 br than the BW for instance. I'm not sure about AKV. I guess my point is what are my chances of getting out of SSR and into another resort. My dates are June 1-6. Since that is less than 60 days away I was wondering if I had any chance. If you aren't successful "getting out of SSR" you are still in a wonderful, top-notch Disney resort, with access to beautiful pools, good transportation, and Downtown Disney.

So I'm told. I agree that SSR is a great place to be. The family, however, would prefer one of the others for this trip. Not a bad dilemma I guess
