Waitlist on existing reservation

I have an existing DVC reservation. I wanted to put a couple of waitlist on it (I am within my 7 month window) but haven't done this on the new website. Anyone know how to do it with the new website?

The process is still pretty much the same as with the old booking site (just looks a little different because of the new layout). You go through the process like you are booking a room and if nothing is available, there will be an option to waitlist.

The think is, I already have a reservation for those dates, and want to add a waitlist to that reservation. I'm concerned if I do the above then it will waitlist me for a second week at the same time. Am I missing something?

While you are creating the waitlist entry, there will be an option that will allow you to specify if you want to replace an existing reservation.

While you are creating the waitlist entry, there will be an option that will allow you to specify if you want to replace an existing reservation.

Yes! What erionm said. You go into your member website and try to book the dates/villa category of what you really want. If it's not available, it gives you the option to waitlist and as you work through the questions to actually start the w/l, it will ask you if you want the w/l to REPLACE an existing reservation. And THERE is where you want to input your current reservations's info!

That way, if and when the w/l comes through, MS will know to cancel your rez you have right now, and use those same points to book those that came through on the w/l.

If you want to do 2 different w/l for the same dates, with the hopes that one of those 2 w/l will come through to replace the rez you currently already have, I would do both w/l online and then give MS a call to let them know which resort you most prefer so they can put notes in. Good luck!
