Waitlist Nightmare at 9 days & counting

Split stay in 9 days at VWL (2 nights) & BCV (3 nights). However at BCV we are in a 1br the first night and then studio the next two nights. Thus we have to move twice in 5 days. DW is ticked. Have been on a waitlist for two months trying to upgrade the BCV nights to 1 BR so we don't have to move. BLT has nothing nor does BWV.

Keep calling DVC twice a day and nothing is opening up. Arriving in 9 days and its looking grim!!! Send me some pixi dust as I can't afford the divorce.

(then again, let me rethink the benefits of divorce)

You could just use SSR, they probably have the entire time there... just a thought.

I have a 2 move, 5 day stay in September/October. It's actually what I wanted, but every so often I look ahead and wonder just what was I thinking!

I dumped the 2 hops out of our May trip after trying to pack up for the 1st hop. I called member services the night before the first hop and they magically found me a room for the remainder of our trip at SSR. I say magically since there was a gap there with no availability but the rep put me on hold and 'found' us an opening.

It was so much better once I knew we didn't have to move again. And I originally planned in the hops thinking it would be easy and fun! HA!

I had heard from this thread someone saying they keep calling at 7 days and closer (last minute cancelations and no waitlists in place) and have had great success, you can give it a try. Good luck.

You do realize it's during 4th of July weekend and you've only been on the waitlist for 2 months. I don't see happy news with BCV in your future.

I have been in your situation twice. Each time the day of I went to the front desk and asked about availablity. CM would check for availability and when found have me call MS while standing there and then together MS and the CM would put me in the available room. This just happened for DD this last week between Christmas and NYE. Susan

The left over points would go into holding since you are cancelling and rebooking less than 31 days out.
