WAITLIST??? How would this work?

I have a reservation for Sun-Mon (2 nights) in a 2BR std at Kidani.

I have a WL for the same nights for a BWV std 2BR.

IF the BWV waitlist doesn't come through, we'd like to stay in a 2BR std at JAMBO. I don't want to WL both since I don't want to lose the BWV WL if the JH filled first.

I see now that MON night is available at Jambo House. IF I book it and WL *only* Sunday night, what will that do to the 2-night WL at BWV?

IF the single-night waitlist filled, would that cancel my BWV waitlist?

Good question, unfortunately DVC doesn't make public how they administer the waitlists.

Seems odd since we pay them to process waitlists for us but we aren't allowed to know officially what they do or how they do it.

I would think that DVC would treat your 2 waitlists the same as any 2 waitlists - regardless of the difference in number of nights.

Normally, when you have 2 waitlists and one of them fills, they automatically cancel the other. I have had this happen several times. I don't know for sure, but I would bet that if your 1 night JH waitlist filled, the BWV one would be cancelled.

That's what I'm afraid of. I guess I'll just keep an eye on the website. Right now, Mon, Tues and Wed opened up, but I need Sun-Mon so I'll keep looking

Keep watching. I pulled together a 5 night BWV reservation last November by stalking the website. I waitlisted all 5 nights and had an AP reservation as a backup. It was Sunday to Thursday nights. Tues, Wednesday, Thursday became available, I booked them and changed the waitlist to Sunday & Monday. Then Monday became available, I booked it and changed the waitlist to just Sunday. About 28 days out, the Sunday waitlist came through and member services automatically cancelled the other 2 reservations and make it one 5 night reservation. I then cancelled the AP reservation ($285 a night vs 15 points!).
