waitlist for Vero

im going to SSR June 22 but we wanted to go to Vero so i waitlisted there..any chance i get a 2 bedroom between now and June...i made this reservation about 2 weeks ago

Not sure I too am waitlisted one night in July for a two bedroom got it for the rest of my stay but not for one night. We have two studios booked for that night,.......

Not having (little) kids anymore, I wasn't thinking about Easter or Spring break, I just tried to make a reservation for a 1 or 2 br villa for 2 nights (April 6 and 7), and was told there was no availability. I'm on the waitlist too. We're bringing my dear FIL, I really hope this comes through, he'd be so happy!

We're DVC members but have never been to the Vero resort.

I've been on the waitlist for a 1BR for just one night (3/31/08) since the beginning of October. I'm not feeling too confident that the waitlist will come through. I think that with all the developer points that people have gotten, there has been a surge of reservations at VB.

Cancellation policy is the same as at WDW. 31 days or more out, no penalty and points stay in whatever year the reservation is in...30 or fewer days cancel, and they become holding points.

We have always had good fortune with the waitlisting at Vero beach. We waitlisted for our November trip as well as our July trip. We were able to get our request for both trips. However, we were worried in November, our request didn't come through until the week before the trip. Good Luck to everyone!

we had a happy waitlist story at VB. Last Aug, I called right at the 7mo window to reserve Easter break, and got all of my nights except Easter Sunday. So I waitlisted for that night only (we did get the next night) and crossed my fingers. It came through the week after Christmas! So it took awhile, but was worth it - and was probably one of the harder nights to get.

I would think more cancellations occur the closer you get to your trip dates, so hang in there!

Don't mean to be a downer, but if you look at the thread below there are 6 of us DISboarders alone arriving on that very day at VB.

so, just an FYI, our waitlist never came through so we spent one night at the Best Western in Sebastian - not bad (just not Vero).

We were on the list for ANYTHING 2 studios, a 1 bedroom villa, 2 rooms at the inn - nada ):

Next time we know - book early!!!!

At the 7 month window for June we were told there already was no availability for 2bdrms or 1bdrms. We ended up getting 2OVIRs for 4 nights. I was suprised that nothing else was available.
