Waitlist for THV

We just booked SSR from 12-26 through 1-2. We were hoping to get into THV, but it is full. We did confirm a 2 bedroom at SSR. The MS person told us that we could be on the waitlist for THV up to 7 days prior to our booking. Does anyone have any experience with waitlisting? Was it successful? Can we expect to get into THV?

I've been waitlisted for THV in May for about 5 months now and no luck so far

At the time of year that you are going (Christmas week), I'd say your chances are close to zero. If I were you, I'd be thrilled if it happened but I certainly would not count on it. We booked THV for our May trip exactly on the 11 month mark; I even got up early to call right when Member services opened. We got the last one.

I've had some success on waitlists and some failures too. Going at a peak time makes it much more difficult.

As long as you already have the 2BR booked at SSR, I'd stay waitlisted for THV.
They are absolutely worth the wait!
