Waitlist for Hilton Head

Just wondering peoples thoughts about getting our waitlist for the 4 days after Easter, at Hilton Head. I just put us on the list last week. We live in NC and just thought we would give it a try. It won't be a disaster if we don't get it, but a pleasant surprise if we do. We are trying for a studio.

Just would like anyones thoughts. Also, if we do get it, do they do the dolphin cruises at that time? Should I book that now, in case it comes through and cancel it if we don't get it. Any other things we should really do while there? We are going with our children and they are 7 and 5.

There are only 21 studio's (& 1 BR's too), so the chance of you getting a studio are probably not that good.

We own there but didn't book a studio until about 6 1/2 months out. We got 3 nights and had to waitlist for the other 2. (We were only on the waitlist for a day.)

I think your chances may be slim at that time of year. I hope things work out for you. We own there and still have difficulty booking in the summer.

Never say never, though. I released one studio for Easter night about a week ago, so it COULD happen but the chances are not good. Good luck!

I've been on the waitlist since November for a 2 bedroom for Easter week. Recently, the Thursday night cleared, so I think I must be fairly close to the top of the list. I have to admit, I am getting a little nervous. If nothing comes through, we will have to dig in our pockets and pay and find someplace close to home to go.

Sorry don't know your chances about the waitlist but we were there for Easter 2005 and my kids (8, 6&5)loved the dolphin cruise with Capt. Scott! I'm pretty sure he does it everyday and one day per week a DVC discount is offered. If your room comes through, book it - you won't regret it. His company name is Lowcountry Tours and he's much better that the bigger boats that don't get close enough to the dolphins. The HH desk can give you his phone number.
