Waitlist for BWV Boardwalk view

We currently have a res. for BWV garden or pool view. But since the points are the same as boardwalk we waitlisted for it.

Just wondering if anyone has waitlisted there and if it ever came through for them. Its for 6 nights. Or if anyone knows how booked the 1BR board walk views are?

We've waitlisted for a Boardwalk view in the past. It never came through. There aren't a lot of them so they usually disappear during the priority booking period. One never knows what's going to happen with a waitlist, but I would say you should plan on being in the water/garden view. Be pleasantly surprised on the off chance you get the Boardwalk view.

This map (by VWL_Granny) shows the relative number of villas in each category. As you can see, the Water/Garden view is by far the largest percentage of the resort.

Thats what we figure. We are going in Sept, and it looked like 2 of the nights out of the 6 were available. So we just put waitliste the whole thing.

You stand a better chance if you take the 2 nights (if they are together) and waitlist the 4.

Yes, but they might end up moving if the waitlist doesn't work. Many of us prefer not to move, and if the BWV reservation is for a stay anytime between 10/1 and 1/7, the chances are not all that great even for a 1 or 2 night waitlist working. But that's my opinion. I know we both wish the OP good luck!

Good point, we would move for a Boardwalk View even if it was only for 2 nights because it's our favorite view on property.

Just as an update, we are still on the waitlist for boardwalk view.

I am glad we got in boardwalk at all so if it doesn't come through oh well.

I have waitlisted for boardwalk view a couple of times. Once it was for one night during F&W. I got on the WL at 9-10 months out. It came through after several months. The other time was for 4 nights in May. I got on the WL less than 7 months out that time. It did not come through.

Good luck. It will take a lot of luck to get that many nights but it's always worth a try.

some are saying it's a semi-boardwalk view, even though it is in the "garden" category, and they request that. they love it.

But the OP has booked a 1 bedroom and Village Green is all studios. The last room at the end of each Village Green hallway is x051 and it is a 1 bedroom but is booked as a BW view by MS.

that stinks. Was hoping that area was 1br. oh well.

We requested high floor near the elevator.

We were on the 5th floor, which is not throughout. We were in the last hallway of the 5th floor facing the quiet pool and ToT and community hall. The rooms across the hall would have faced the clown pool.

When you look at the map, the quiet pool is the lower one. If you see that lamppost, we were about there. We liked it. We went down the hall to the stairs to go to DHS. The first walk from the elevator seemed far, but we got used to it.

My in-laws have been on that "upper" end closer to the Dolphin and have looked at the Dolphin. I do not think they have really enjoyed their views. But they make no requests about floors and such.

If you don't get the BW View request village green. It overlooks the Boardwalk and the village green is really nice. We leave next wee and we have a 1 BR BW View. We booked about 6 months out.

What is the village green?

Village Green is the grassy area between the boat dock/boardwalk and the lobby. In the graphic below the boat dock is #24, the lobby is #8 and Village Green rooms are in the leg of hallway by #21. They have a partial BW view, since the boardwalk goes all along the shore of the lake. All Village Green rooms are close to the elevators and all are studios.
