We are looking at a five night stay in October. Currently three of the five nights are available.

My question is should I book the three nights and wait list separately the two other nights, or should I wait list the entire stay at reservation time. I'm trying to avoid multiple reservations with the risk of having to move rooms.

My assumption is if I wait list all 5 nights the three that are available would immediately come through and the other two would be wait listed on one reservation. Is this correct?

Thanks - you guys are always do helpful!

No...those rooms that are available now can still be booked by others...they don't hold them for a waitlist. No, if you don't book any nights, you'd have to have all 5 available at the same time for it to fill.

It's a tough call to book at this point as October is really busy and the waitlist may not fill, forcing the moves. But, one night waitlists are going to be much much easier than a 5 night one. And you can always stalk the website in hopes you can get those nights hat way as sometimes rooms show up online before the waitlist matches.

If you won't go unless you get all 5 at the same resort, then I'd just waitlist the entire thing.

But in the last two and a half hours, someone else might have booked those nights. Hope you got them.
