Waitlist didn't replace my reservation

I had a reservation at BCV and waitlisted for Riviera. All set to replace the BCV reservation. Today I got two "we can't wait to welcome you home" emails at the same time (one for BCV and one for RR). Same names and same dates, waitlist fulfilled but didn't replace the other room. It was supposed to borrow 12 points from my 2023 use year but instead it borrowed 96 points and kept both rooms. I can cancel BCV and bank my 2022 points but wasn't planning to have banked points into 2023. Has this happened before? What should I do?

Call MS and they should put the 84 extra borrowed points back for you.

For this reason, I always take a screenshot of my waitlist to prove that I selected the replace reservation and whether or not I had authorized borrowing. Hopefully, it should not be an issue for them to adjust it for you!!!
