Waitlist came thru now I have 2 reservations

I have a trip booked for Set 6 - Sept 10th at VGF. We decided we wanted to arrive on Sept 5th but noting was available at VGF so we took a night at Bay Lake Tower and waitlisted the VGF. Well the waitlist came thru and cancelled the Bay Lake but now its 2 reservations, 1 for Sept 5th - 6th and the other from the 6th thru the 10th. I just did a chat on MDE and asked them to combine the reservations so I dont have to move rooms. They said they are unable to do so? Has this happened to anyone else?

As long as they are the same use year and same room type it should be able to be done, but you'd have to chat on the DVC site not the MDE site. Just tell them you want to merge the two reservations. They'll ask for the confirmation numbers. I did it twice last weekend.

If they are in 2 different UY you can ask them to link the 2 reservations. You'll still have 2 different confirmation numbers but I've never had to change rooms.

I've never been able to do that on chat, always had to call. But they have been very helpful calling DVC for that.

Not sure if you are referring to linking or merging, but chat will definitely help with merging. They take the info down and put in a request. Ours have always been done in a couple of hours or so even though they say up to 48 hours.

I just send an email now. But chat always said they would request it for me and in 2 days it’s was always done.
