Waitlist came through at noon

The waitlist for the last day I needed on my Boardwalk Standard view studio for May just came through, whoohoo!

However, the really interesting thing is that as near as I can tell it came through at noon or pretty close to then. I've been stalking the DVC website for weeks now trying to get that last day even though I had it waitlisted (I've had better luck finding days that way most of the time). I had logged on about 11:30 this morning, and at that time my waitlist was still active, and the night wasn't available. At 12:15 I got an email that my waitlist came through! I always thought they only processed the waitlist requests in the middle of the night sometime, but that is obviously not the case. Not sure if they changed the process or maybe I just never paid that close attention before. Definitely good information either way!!

Makes you wonder if they fill it with your request during the night, but the system takes 12 hours to catch up and update your records/notify you?

When the system makes a waitlist match, the potential match goes into a file. A CM must make/cancel any reservations needed & adjust the points if needed to complete the transaction. It's very possible that the system matched something for you and then it took until nearly noon before a CM had a chance to complete it and notify you.

That's what I have been told, matched last night, reservation modified the next day by a CM.

That's awesome. My beach club wait list for Saturday Sept 20th, opening weekend for food and wine came through around the same time today.

Interesting! I've been wondering how the wait list works. I've been reading about people finding the available rooms before the waitlist shows up so it's kind of confusing! I've been trying to get 6 nights at HHI for the summer and so far what I've got is Aug 23,24,26,27,28. I'm waitlisted for the 25th and really really hoping it will open up.

So glad to hear about waitlists coming through. We have two nights early October at Beach Club. We already have our plane tickets and a backup off property resort booked, but would love to not have to switch hotels!

Yesterday must have been a great day for waitlists. Mine for the two nights in September at BWV came through yesterday. Just a little later in the day for me. Now no split stay for a few days at F&W.

I wish our wait list for BWV would come through. We are only looking for 1 night pre-cruise in August. The only studio free on the date we need is at Saratoga. I don't really care to stay there because I grew up in Saratoga. It seems so crazy that there is nothing free even at OKW

Nice! We were still at BWV but in a Pool/Garden view for our night that came through, we're so happy we don't have to move.

Keep stalking the DVC website, even though you have the wait list, I got several days that way!
