I booked a trip to DW at the 60 day window with our new add-on points at BCV but could only get 2 nights in a 1BR. So I took three nights at VWL in a 2BR. I got a call yesterday am that the waitlist for the other 3 nights came through in a 1BR at BCV. While I was thrilled I realized I would have borrowed points that I would lose if I changed to this scenario.
I didn't not accept the waitlist last night, but rather called back again today to discuss my options. When I called at 10am there were no options. So we made some more dinner reservations for the same trip. I was just about to hang up and keep the VWL when she checked again and a second 1BR came up for the first night of our stay. It's a waste of some points in a way, but at least we won't have to move between resorts with our 3yr old in tow. And while we were on the phone other rooms became available for different nights during the stay. I wasn't interested in anything else...but there were options. You never know until you try.
