Hi!
We usually plan trips at the 7 or 11 month mark, but my wife and I just decided to do a fall long weekend at WDW -- the 2nd weekend in November (historically, the beginning of MVMCP, so hoping for that).
There is very little available for that weekend! Just 1-BR at Saratoga. I waitlisted a theme park view studio at the Poly and the Grand Floridian. I had planned on waitlisting more, but found out that 2 is the max of waitlists allowed.
Any sense historically of which resorts or types of rooms are most likely to become available? (other than Saratoga or OKW). In other words, are the high-value rooms or the low-value rooms more likely to open up? I want to use our 2 waitlist slots to the maximum benefit. So if those theme park view rooms are scarce and super coveted, would it be better to go with a different room type, so we can at least get to the resort we want? We're not dead set on the Poly or Grand - we could do BLT, Riviera, AKL, BWV, Copper Creek.
BTW, we haven't made a reservation at Saratoga, because then we wouldn't have enough points if a waitlist came through. But at some point, I'm thinking we should just go with that, before those disappear too LOL.
