Waitlist - Any luck?

I am anxious about our upcoming November trip. Have others been successful in getting what they wanted recently? Should I hang in there and renew at 30 days? I need a whole lot of pixie dust! We've never waitlisted before. Our trip is November 6-11. I know all of NJ will be there, it's the end of F&W and Veteran's Day - what more could complicate things?

hang in there, but call closer, we were waitlisted in February and called two weeks before on a saturday morning and magically a one bedroom suddenly appeared for out time frame. jersey week is great did it three years ago. does get crowded towards the end of the week and add super soap weekend into the mix. good luck

Thanks for the advise. We usually go during this time in November, so I am not worried about the crowds! I really would love to stay in a different place this time. But if we don't we are happy at SSR just as well.

I waitlist for VWL on July 3rd and it came through last week. And this was for a trip in Sept.

we have only waitlisted twice and so far no luck. We are waitlisted for AKV 1BR value or concierge studio for January 8th....I am still hoping but I will have alternate reservations made just in case.

We are waiting for AKV, too. We waitlisted several other places as well, just in case. The waiting is what's killing me! I'll hope for the best no matter what. We have been looking forward to this vacation for a LOOOONG time.

A lot will depend on where and what you've waitlisted for. We generally travel that same week, and I am notorious for not making ressies at either the 11 or 7 month mark. Sometimes I get what I want right away and sometimes I have to waitlist. On the times we've had to waitlist, it's always come through. I wouldn't start to get nervous for about the middle of next month.

We're booked in at AKV Jan 13-18 but I'm waitlisted for AKV concierge as it's DBFs 30th birthday trip and he doesn't know about it yet. I booked SSR (home) at 11 months and I switched at 7 to AKV. Every time I called to see if I could upgrade a different (but only a single day of our trip) was available. I didn't want to switch about during such a short trip. The last CM I spoke to at MS explained the waitlist to me and how safe it was (we'll be at one or the other for the duration, no switching or moving about worries) so I'm keeping everything crossed for concierge!!
