Waitlist and Confirmation #

We rented points and currently have a studio at SSR booked at the end of October. We also waitlisted AKV for the same dates. Since we already have a confirmation # for our current reservation, will we get a new confirmation # if our waitlist comes through? Also, I have our current reservation linked to MDE, will anything update on MDE if the waitlist comes through? TIA

You’ll get a new reservation number if the waitlist comes through.

My MDE updated automatically but I’m the member so my DVC is linked. I doubt yours would if you rent.

If the waitlist comes through your current reservation will be cancelled, assuming that the member has chosen to replace the old reservation with the new one?

Your MDE will not be updated as you are not the member, I would think that the reservation would just disappear from your MDE. However this can be a problem if you have made your fastpass' and then your reservation is cancelled even though you replace it with a new one. Its only a problem if the reservation is cancelled more than 30 days out. Thing is that fastpasses can be made 60 days out if you have a reservation, if you dont have a reservation they can be made 30 days out.

Since you have a OCT reservation its not a problem yet, but it could be. The waitlist can't be changed after it has been created(you can change if it should expire 31 days out 7 days out), you would need to cancel the waitlist and create a new one. Creating a new one means you start as last in line.
