Hi! I'm going to WDW and staying at SSR during the last week of March.:cool1:

But my question concerns my next visit to WDW. I have reservations for SSR for the first week of October. The primary reason I chose October was for the International Food and Wine Festival which I enjoyed immensely last October.

My use year begins in October which means that on March 1 I could try to get rezzies at other resorts in lieu of the one I have at SSR. Can I get on the waiting list for the Beach Club Villas, Boardwalk Villas, and (I think it will be open) the Villas at Animal Kingdom? Well, I might as well throw in Wilderness Lodge, too. In other words, are we limited to one waiting list at a time?:confused3

I think its obvious why I'm thinking of BCV and BWV (proximity to the IF&WF). I would also like to experience the VAK and VWL.

Thanks for any assistance.

We wanted to change our May ressie, figured it would be a good time to try another resort. We wanted either BCV or VWL, had to waitlist. Set it up for all 3 nights or nothing, would take the first that came available. Got VWL off the waitlist at the end of January.

First - your use year does not have anything to do with when you can begin to make resrvations. For your home resort you can make the reservation starting 11 months from the check out date. For others it is 7 months from the check out date. If you are looking for a prime time reservation you might want to book day by day - call on first day you can and tell MS you will be calling each day to complete at reservation for however many days you plan to stay. They will then keep adding on the days (if they are available) each day you call until the reservation is complete before they finalize it and send a confirmation. If they don't have the days you need you can waitlist for one or all resorts if you wish but then must decide what to do if you end up with one day here and one there. If you decide to waitlist for multiple resorts you would probably want to do the waitlist for the whole time instead of one day at a time. I did this for the NYE - 1/4 /07 this past year. I had them waitlist for any resort for a studio or 1 BR for the whole time and then changed it for any of the days I needed. I was trying to downsize from a 2BR and save points so would have been willing to move from resort to resort if need be. I did eventually get all my nights at SSR in a studio and ended up with 2 extra days there then and 33 points that I need to use before 8/1. You may very well get you reservation at the 7 month mark if you call as soon as you are allowed. If you need to use the points from your current reservation to make the new one make sure you set up any waitlist that they will call you to confirm before they make it. Good luck and hope you have a great rip no mattter wihich resort you end up at.
